Fall is a wonderful time to enjoy fresh local apples!
Head to a local apple orchard to stroll through the apple trees, smell the sweet aroma, and taste several apple varieties!

Picking your own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch and getting lost in a corn maze are iconic fall events in the Midwest.

Fall Festival of Color – October 5, 2025

The Fall Festival of Color is a fun Lake Mills event for all ages that takes place on Sunday, October 5 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
With over 150 vendors selling arts, crafts, local produce, fall flowers and seasonal and home décor, it’s the perfect kick-off to the harvest season! Enjoy food, live music, and there are free pumpkins for kids too (while supplies last)!
All events are located in Commons Park at the heart of historic downtown Lake Mills.

Glow Party – October 11, 2025

October Family Fun at the Johnson Creek Public Library is a Glow Party on Saturday, October 11 at 10:00 AM.
Come for glow-in-the-dark games, dance party, and fun. Wear white or neon to make your clothes glow!
This family glow party will be held in the library’s programming room.

Boo Bash – October 16, 2025

Everyone is encouraged wear costumes to downtown Jefferson for business trick-or-treating on Thursday, October 16 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
There will be a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed in multiple categories.
Kids can trick-or-treat at participating businesses scattered throughout downtown Jefferson and stop at one of the many photo spots!

St. Paul Lutheran Fall Fest – October 19, 2025

Head to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School on Sunday, October 19th from 3:00–5:00 PM for an afternoon of family fun!
Come dressed up for a Trunk-or-Treat, enjoy a hayride, and check out the bounce houses in the gym and more. There will also be a free hot dog meal served.
This event is designed for children ages 8 and under and their families.

Boo Bash at Bentzin Family Town Square – October 25, 2025

Bentzin Family Town Square in Watertown will be hoppin’ with activities from 12:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 25!

Witches Night Out – October 29, 2025

Downtown Lake Mills will be filled with costumed children trick-or-treating at local businesses on Wednesday, October 29 from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Participating locations will display an official Witches Night Out poster in their windows. Some local businesses will also be set up on the Lake Street side of Commons Park to join in the candy giveaways!

Legendary Lake Mills Wine Walk – November 21, 2025

Stroll through charming downtown Lake Mills on Friday, November 21 to enjoy two tastings of wine at each of the participating Wine Stops.
How better to enjoy a crisp November Friday evening than the Lake Mills Wine Walk?
Wine stop locations are hosted at fabulous Lake Mills businesses, each of whom will have their doors open to greet you! Sample wine and have a bite to accompany your evening walk.
