A low supply of houses available to purchase has been an obstacle for home buyers in our area for some time now. That’s why we’re excited to share with you a some upcoming housing developments to keep an eye on in or near Jefferson County, Wisconsin.

1) Fairways of Jefferson
If living by a golf course sounds dreamy to you, check out the housing development near the Jefferson Golf Course in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
Fairways of Jefferson has 59 lots along Golf Drive and Champions Court. These single-family homes are built by Loos Custom Homes.
When looking at the homes coming available at the time of writing, you’ll find brand new homes with:

- Quartz countertops
- 3-4 bedrooms
- Lots between .23-.33 acres

2) Ridge View Estates in Fort Atkinson
A little south of Jefferson, you’ll find a lot of dirt moving for a new housing development called Ridge View Estates in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
This large 35-acre new housing subdivision is located between Fort Atkinson High School and Banker Road. Near this new neighborhood will also be a multi-use trail, parkland, and green spaces.
The proposed plan for Ridge View Estates includes a mix of:
- single-family homes
- townhomes
- apartments

3) The Preserve at Oakland
Head to the western edge of Jefferson County, and you’ll land in The Preserve, a charming new subdivision in Oakland, Wisconsin.
This new subdivision features 100 lots surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, a nearby public beach, and a nature preserve.
The proposed plan for The Preserve includes:
- single-family homes
- 100 lots of various sizes
- private wells with municipal sewer

4) Rock River Ridge in Watertown
On the northern side of Jefferson County, you’ll land in Watertown, WI. Along the scenic Rock River you’ll find another new housing development in the works. Rock River Ridge is Watertown’s newest neighborhood of homes built by Harbor Homes.
Here you can look forward to 78 single-family homes with:
- 6 different floor plans
- 3-4 bedrooms
- near a walking trail
- near a new city park
- easy access to city conveniences, such as Watertown’s new YMCA, an updated public library, seasonal farmers’ markets, and more

5) Hepp Heights in Watertown
Also in Watertown, you’ll find a new development in the works called Hepp Heights.
This neighborhood will feature beautiful home sites with:
- expansive views to the south and west
- close proximity to Grinwald Park
- easy access to the Highway 26 Bypass
These homes are located on Ridge Court, Casey Drive, and Linda Lane in Watertown. They are being built by Loos Homes.

6) Edge Field in Watertown
Watertown is booming with growth, and if you head to the southwest edge of town, you’ll find a new development broke ground in fall 2025 called Edge Field.

7) Brookstone Meadows in Lake Mills
If you’re looking to move to Lake Mills to enjoy the beautiful Rock Lake, beaches, parks, trails, or schools, and want to live on the outskirts of town, Brookstone Meadows Subdivision is a neighborhood to consider.
While Brookstone is not a new subdivision on the east side of Lake Mills, it continues to expand with new single-family homes built by Loos Custom Homes.
At the time of writing, there are multiple new homes for sale on Ridgeview Drive in Lake Mills with:

This development is located just a short walk from Crossroads Landing Park on Resort Drive. These homes are being built by Loos Homes.

9) Olde Highlander in Oconomowoc
If Lake Country is your desired area, then check out the new development called Olde Highlander in Oconomowoc.
This new neighborhood is being developed near Oconomowoc Parkway & Pabst Road. It will feature a range of amenities for comfortable living, including:
- extensive walking paths
- a swimming pool & clubhouse
- children’s playground
You’ll find a variety of housing options at Olde Highlander, including:
- Single-family homes (The Villas and The Estates)
- Townhomes (The Towns)
- Condominiums (The Reserve)
These homes will be built by a combination of Tim O’Brien Homes and Harbor Homes.
